Chapter 1. This article examines Saemaeul Movement in the era of Park Chung-Hee regime from the viewpoint of hegemonic power strategy. It's central analytic point is the modern mass politics' mechanism that creates the phenomena of conflicts and penetration, acculturation and exclusive possession, consent and cleavage in the interaction between the desire of the peasants, who want to escape from the poverty, and the enforcement of the regime, which wants to mobilize the peasants' economic resources and strengthen the power base.
Chapter 2. The resident registration system is an important axis of the Bak Junghee system which is an social system made by Bak Junghee through his long dictatorship. Korean democratization has an feature of fragile democratization because we did not reform the resident registration system.
Chapter 3. After coup of 1961, military junta pushed forward strengthening the conscription system. The nationwide inspections, searches, and loud campaigns of publicity to every individual, every workshop and village were gradually effectuated as the system of the resident registration was being established.
Chapter 4. It took no more than 20 years that our principal grain was changed from <rice + barley> to <rice + wheat>. In the process, there were intentional interventions of the state and other social groups which had tried to bring such ㅁ change. The "Honpunshik Changny-U Undong"(HCU - Movement for eating boiled barley and wheat flour food), drived by government from 1960s to 1970s, can be said the most obvious one among them.
Chapter 5. The Rural Housing Improvement Project is hard to be concluded as successful. However, despite the underachievement of its policy goals and the discomfort in everyday life it caused, the majority of peasants who participated in the project approved that the project was successful. The reason is that the peasants, who had been alienated in the modernization process, tried to compensate their frustration and enviousness towards city dwellers by possessing the urban style "cultural houses".
Chapter 6. The Simplified Family Ritual Standards demonstrates the distinctiveness of governance mechanism in Park Chung Hee regime, which intended to control and discipline people's everyday lives strictly. But it had been acculturated by the conflicts, which had been triggered not only in the vortex of controlling people's everyday lives but also through the new emergence of vying modern mentality within the same era of modernity.
Chapter 7. This thesis aims to analyze how 'the Family Plan' was performed by public agencies and penetrated into daily lives among common people, particularly expecting pregnant young couples under the national mobilization system. The government constructed the multiple and hierarchial system but not used compulsory methods. 'The Family Plan' became internalized into belief system among people.
Chapter 8. The government of Park Jeong Hui enhanced Korean history education for the perpetuation of the Park's regime. The curriculum was amended two times, and the aim of history education was set at the establishment of 'Juche' ideology, national independence and pride.
Chapter 9. The object of paper is statue that built in the middle period of the Park chung-hee regime and consumed till now. This writing purports to shed light on political and social background and means, subject of built and resource's mobilization, characteristics on person and built period, and discourse and effect.
Chpter 10. A so-called 'Hostess Film' had enjoyed its heyday since the mid-1970s through 1979. Hostess films has been characterized by its straightforward sexual depictions which was not allowed and censored under Park's totalitarian regime. I argue that, this kind of contradiction, the advent of Hostess Film under militarist regime, reflects the regime's hegemonic instability and its failure of hyper-nationalization project.
