This paper, which is based on the concepts of machine translation of Russian-Korean, proposes to analyze the process of the Russian-Korean interpretation and to provide a theoretical basis to be applied to the method of teaching Russian-Korean simultaneous interpretation. To do this, this study starts from the hypothesis on the process of the interpretation as follows.

input → transfer → standardization → synthesis → output

Based on this hypothesis the pro cess of the Russian- Korean interpretation was reviewed through various linguistic methods and views. First, it shows the importance of understanding the structure of intonation from the phonetic viewpoint. Secondly, it explains why we should know the functional structure of word-order in Russian sentences and how much it will enhance the effectiveness of simultaneous interpretation. Finally, it tries to prove the logical cohesiveness of lexical relations by the Dependency Theory. It is supposed to improvethe ability of presupposing contextual development.
In conclusion, this paper tries to systematize the process of transferring Russian-source language into a standardized Russian form at the deep level and of synthesizing a standardized Korean form at the deep level into Korean-target language. Further, it is necessary to continue to develop the methods of analyzing the process of interpretation and to apply them to interpretation in practice.
