Russian prepositions are divided into simple (nonderived) and secondary (derived) prepositions. In addition to prepositions, there are prepositional idiomatic expressions ; such as : по отношению к, в связи с,
etc. Among prepositions, derived secondary prepositions share the similar syntactic configuration as follows:
The N(место, время) is incorporated into the P(в), and they form a complex category (PP-N), into which the features of the noun are percolated. In case of double prepositions (из-за, из-под), the first preposition (из) takes the comples category (PP-N) as its complement. This is possible, because this complex categoy (PP-N) contains an N category.
