1. Rationale and Objectives of Study
○ This study was conducted to develop and implement the holistic dance education model based on the holistic content and method regarding target populations and domains of the whole-person education and life cycle continuing education from each of three perspectives––school arts and culture education, community arts and culture education, and arts and training professionals in arts and culture education—in the context of arts and culture education policies. Based on the study findings, the study emphasized the reorientation of the role and value system, core competencies, and implementation methods of dance education in schools and society, and made suggestions (policy and institutional improvement measures) for the proper establishment of arts and culture education in the future.
○ The dance ecosystem in which the supply and demand in arts and culture education are carried out over the life cycle requires the approach that incorporates the three perspectives: school arts and culture education, community arts and culture education, and training professionals in arts and culture education. Therefore, to create a balanced dance ecosystem, a systematic and interconnected academic and practical model of holistic dance education is proposed and will be disseminated.

Stage 1: Search and development of a holistic dance education model for arts and culture education over the life cycle

2) Methods
Procedure by stage
The research procedure for each stage of [The Holistic Dance Education Model for Arts and Culture Education over the Life Cycle] is cyclical in the following order: Defining a research problem, setting a theoretical/interdisciplinary framework, developing research hypotheses, data collection, and then generating research findings and application strategies.
Selection of research topics and analysis methods
Methods can be largely divided into selection of research topics and selection of analysis methods. Research topics were identified based on the urgency by field and issue, and then a method applicable to each topic was selected.
The data analysis methods fall into quantitative and qualitative research methods, which will be mixed appropriately in this mixed-method research. Surveys, panel data analysis, and big data analysis will be used as quantitative methods. Delphi surveys, group interviews, in-depth anthropological interviews, and participatory observations will be used as qualitative methods.
