This article has attempted to trace the situations of Pyeongyang-based Lolang commandery
after it was ousted by Koguryo from the Korean peninsula. The commandery eventually was
relocated at what is now lower regions of Dalonghe in Jinzhou city of Liaoning province.
Lolang commandery survived through the dynasties of former and later Yen, but believed to
have moved again to Chaoyang city area in Liaoning province during Northern Yen era. The
administrative details of the commandery throughout the three Yen dynasties were ascertained
in this paper by investigating its government posts and aristocratic titles.
During Northern Wei times, the commandery changed its name from Lolang to Loliang.
Loliang commandery was established in 444, but discontinued due to political environments,
and then reappeared circa-525, which by this period populated merely 1008 inhabitants. The
name Lolang was reused in 537, and moved again to present-day Baoding city zone in Hebei
province, shrinking to a village-sized population of 203. Meanwhile, Lolang commandery also
appears to have existed in Beijing district as well.
The Lolang locals seemed to have been largely taken from northern Yen to northern Wei
just before the former’s downfall. The traces of these people could be found all over the Wei
territory, namely in the area of Laorong prefecture in Liaoning province. In these regions, new
prefectures belonging to Lolang commandery were made based on the relocated people.
Prefectures of Joseon, Hamja, Soosung, and Nakdo were identified accordingly from the study

The situation after the collapse of Daebang County in 314 was studied. The trend of
Daebang County, who moved to the Liaoxi area, was considered. Daebang County moved to
Liaoxi area in the first half of the fourth century. It is a new administrative organization. Later,
Daebang County continued to exist until the period of QiánYān, HòuYàn, and BukYàn. In the
Northern Wei Dynasty, Daebang County was abolished and Daebang village was established.
Daebang village which existed like that, disappeared from history in 556 during the Northern
Period.
The Korean Peninsula, where Daebang County was located, existed after the 4th century
when the remaining forces formed their own forces and were absorbed by Koguryeo. Meanwhile, Daebang County was destroyed, but Daebang County-related government posts and noble title were used in Baekje until the 6th and 7th centuries. Daebang County was awarded during the Goryeo Dynasty, and there was a phenomenon of trying to link the history of Namwon to the old Daebanggun

The background and purpose of the installation of Xuantu Commandery were
reviewed again, and a specific location was suggested. I paid attention to the fact that
Xuantu Commandery was installed one year later than the other three-Commandery.
This was linked to the current economic policy of Han, the salt iron monopoly system.
A large amount of firewood is required in order to smoothly carry out the salt iron
monolith. In this process, the Han government established Xuantu Commandery
for the background and purpose of smoothly securing and transporting firewood
needed for salt and iron production. Therefore, a county fortress related to Xuantu
Commandery was installed in the Yalu River basin with the Baekdusan Forest in the
background. It was determined that county fortress related to the prefectural military
would have been established in the area around the base of their power while
coexisting with the original Koguryeo powers.
I specifically presented the relics of county fortress related to Xuantu Commandery.
It was found in the flat land formation built along the Yalu River. In the case of
Yangmin's old castle, it was noted that the west wall, south wall, and north wall were
made of earth walls. In addition, the Changbaek Samdoo Old Castle was presented,
based on the Koguryeo Jeokseok tomb built in the fortress. I think there will be
prefectural counties in the Yalu River basin. From this point of view, I think it is
necessary to pay attention to the Yalu River Basin
