신화의 모듈은 다양한 이야기에서 공유되고 있고, 모듈이 결합해서 하나의 전체 이야기를 구성한다. 이러한 것이 가능한 것은 그것이 구전되었기 때문이다. 신화의 모듈은 다양한 변이를 일으키는데, 이러한 변이를 가능하게 하는 규칙은 기호의 변화, 행의 삽입과 삭제이다. 이러한 단순한 규칙이 매우 다양한 모듈의 변이를 불러올 수있고, 이로 인해 매우 다양한 계산의 변경도 산출할 수 있다. 그리고 이러한 변이는 환경적인 차이에서 비롯될 것으로 생각된다. 그런 면에서 이것은 환경에의 적응과 생존이라는 관점에서 파악할 수 있다.

A Human Being is a biological being. It means that man should adapt himself to nature and survive just like other life. It might be perished, if it can not survive, as other organism which remains only a fossil. The natural selection is ruthless and universal, so no exception is permitted, even when it comes to matters of a human being. Because of it, man must have made endless efforts to adapt himself to nature and survive. There is no doubt that the efforts and the struggles of adaptation and survivals are related to mythology. If mythology has not had any relation to adaptation and survival of a human being, it must have been thrown away and dead. Considering, particularly, the early homo sapiens' hard conditions of living, it seems that there was no chance for mythology to survive long time enough to remain until now, if myths is just useless and fantastic.
But until now, the above facts have been ignored. If mythology has not
contributed to human survivals, either man or mythology should has disappeared, no matter how we could interpret it, even as psychological complex, or as repeat of sacred behavior, or as binary opposition. Human brain is the most important organ for adaption and survival. Myths are generated and preserved in it and disseminated by it. Because of it, myhology must exist in the limitation and possibility of brain.
Mythology is studied on the above two biological conditions, i.e., adaptation and brain, in this paper. There are Cognitive Mythological Studies, but it has usually studied the relation of memory to brain and mythology. But memory is not the only function of brain. Memory is a kind of data, but data have no meaning without computing. Computing is also very important function of brain. The main concern of this paper is +about computing of brain and mythology. It is regarded that mythology has a function of computing and computing of mythology is related to brain. In short, mythology is a frame of interpretation of information from outside. Its purpose is adaptation and survival of a human being. For the purpose of this argument, the modularity of mythology is discussed. Module is a part which can perform special function. It is showed that mythology is composed by modules, and module is related to human memory. Then it is also showed that module conduct a function of computing. Finally, transformational rules of module is presented, and the variation of module brings the variation of computing.
