대학의 글쓰기교육은 사고를 논리적으로 표현할 수 있는 역량을 함양한다는 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 현재 많은 대학의 학부 및 석사과정에서 계열별 글쓰기 교육을 강화하고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구는 최근 5년간(2000-2004)의 국내외 디자인분야 학위논문 및 학술지논문 사례연구를 중심으로 한다. 국내학술지는 학술진흥재단 등재 및 등재후보지의 디자인학 논문을 중심으로 주제, 요약본, 목차구성, 형식 등을 연구 분석한다. 국외학술지는 권위 있는 5개 국가(미국, 영국, 일본, 독일, 프랑스)의 대표적인 논문집을 중심으로 동일한 방법으로 분석한다. 동일한 연구 방식으로 최근 5년간의 디자인분야 석·박사 학위논문을 중심으로 분석한다.
이러한 연구를 바탕으로 디자인영역의 논문작성법의 다양한 연구방법론의 사례를 제시할 수 있다. 또한 주제 및 요약본을 중심으로 분석한 최근 5년간의 연구 자료를 바탕으로 디자인영역의 전반적인 논문 방향과 트랜드를 살펴볼 수 있다. 또한 시각적 이미지의 언어적 서술능력을 중심으로 디자인의 조형적 분석 능력을 강화할 수 있다. 이와 같이 디자인 영역의 국내외의 논문 사례 연구를 분석으로 시각이미지의 언어화 능력 강화에 바탕으로 디자인 계열의 체계적, 효율적, 국내외 논문작성 방안 제시한다.

The aim of this research is to present a way to develop new treatise on design studies which are corresponding with special characteristics of colleges in Korea, based on researches and analyses of treatise on design studies in colleges inside and outside of the country. Treatise on design studies are very important to improve the students' and researchers' ability to think creative thinking and develop well-organized training system of design studies. Therefore, a study of systematic treatise on design studies is needed to keep up with the situation of digital era which is changing drastically.
For the study of treatise on design studies, ① case study of thesis for a degree and an academic essay in Design, ② case study of academic essay in home and abroad, ③ researches and analyses of treatise on design studies, ④ critique and proposal have been researched and analysed.
With the real situation, for maximize effect of treatise on Design Studies, a plan of educational revitalization needs to induce students to participate in courses actively. For a new course such as Treatise on Design Studies which are developing educational system and structure, education of practical analyse techniques in Design and support for developing educational system need a solution to problems.
