The research suggests the following eight fundamental concepts of Korean National Aesthetics according to those standards. 'Nature', a characteristic concept as an Asian aesthetic category distinguished from Western Aesthetic one. 'Mut', one of the representing Korean Aesthetic categories sourced from Poongnyuh. ‘Haehak’, a humorous concept accompanying 'Hahn’ as a characteristic quality of Korean aesthetics. 'Hahn’, a sensitive state before a highly expressed feeling such as laugh and sadness, but distinguished from the Western sublime of tragedy. ‘Shinmyong', a concept compared with a Western enthousiasmos or inspiration, but related with 'Moshim' or Giwhashinryurg. ‘White Shade', a highly comprehensive aesthetic consciousness of Korean people discussed with 'Bak' thought and 'Yulnyo' of cosmic rhythm. 'Poongnyu', a source of 'Mut' concepts as a core fundamental concep of East Asia Aesthetics. 'Sitgim', a purification of catharsis related with Poongnyu, myth, ritual, and arts. The research in the first year divided broadly the fundamantal concepts of Korean aesthetics into 8 ones, and integrated them into two genre categories;fundamental concept of the Poolnyu such as Nature, Mut, and Haehak as well as the Sitgim such as Hahn, Shinmyong, and White Shade, studying separately. The research in the second year on the basis of the research of the first year's 8 fundamental concepts of Korean aesthetics had more intensive understanding those fundamental concepts, and then tried to contribute to 'establishing categories of Korean aesthetics'. The research in the second year is composed of 9 studies. First, in "Introduction to consfituting Category System of Korean Asthetics" four basic concepts of Mut, Haehak, Hahn, and White Shade can be central exis to constitute category system of Korean asthetics and their relationships with other conceps. Second, in "A Research on the Methods for Category Systems of Western Aesthetics and Korean Aesthetics" the study suggested Western influence on the theory of category for Korean Aesthetics. Third, The study revealed how different does the aesthetic category of Korean people lay out comparing with those of Chinese and Japenese one, suggesting its resemblance and difference among the aesthetic consciousnesses of three countries : Korea, Japan, and China. Fourth, the research done in the first year was on the relationship with Nature, Mut and Haehak in the category of Poonnyuh. Fifth, the research was done on the relationship with Hahn, Sitgim, Shinmyong and White Shade in the category of Sitgim. Four concepts such as Hahn, Shinmyong, Sitgim, and White Shde is based on the inseparability. Sixth, the research was done on the mutual crossing study on the category of Mut and White Shade. Although Shinmyong is contrast to Nature in that the concepts have show their differences in dimension of dynamics or stasis as well as secular or sacred, both the concepts has common disposition in that they can be experienced as the whole, the immersion, the pleasure, the solution, and transcendence. Seventh, the research was done on the mutual crossing study of the category of Mut and White Shade while the concept of Mut exclude aesthetic emotion such as tragic sorrow or Hahn, that of White Shade dose not such emotion, standing at contrast poles. Eighth, the research was done on the crossing study of Haehak and Hahn. While they can be distinguished as crying and laugh, the implication of the Hahn concept has diverse meanings. Hahn does not simply expose its crying, but flows with its crying with dance. The concept of Hahn is different from the sublime, the melancholy. and the sorrow of the Western category. Ninth, the research was done on the nomadic settlement of the systemic theory of aesthetic category. The aesthetic category of Korea incude the historical experiences of Korean people and it also can be hermeneutical horizons creating new system of value for the future.
