<Gabo> is the oldest collection of ripple-type musical pieces created by drawing the songs of `Pyonjojoongdaeyoup.’ The existence of Gabo is contrary to previous theories regarding the establishment of ripple-type music, the decline of Joondaeyoup, and the advent of Sakdaeyoup. The reason why there was a drastic change from Joondaeyoup to Sakdaeyoup in the 18thcentury reflects the artistic tastes of musicians in the middle class.<br>
