The extension of average span of a man's life by development of modern science brought about an aging society, and such a phenomenon is the tendency of the whole world.
Accordingly, the government authorities are absorbed in preparation to cope with a graying society. Above all things, it is necessary to draw an effective plan for healthy life of the elderly.
The purpose of this study tried to find out the effects of regular rhythm exercise program on change of activity fitness and degree of life satisfaction.
The research object divided as the control group(39) and exercise group(90) which participates to program with the female over 65 years old in the farming village.(C country)
Exercise program composed three step with warming up, main, cool down.
The study carried out exercise program 40-65% HRmax and RPE 11-13 of exercise intensity for older woman three times a week 50 minutes for 16 week. It measured factors of activity fitness and life satisfaction in terms of pre(0), mid(8), post(16).
Factors of activity fitness in this study were measured using items in relation with physical strength, muscle, agility, cooperation, balance, flexibility and factors of life satisfaction in this study were measured using questionnaire(Economic ability, life vitality, social activity power, family for affinity, body confidence)by K, Tanaka(1999)
Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 12,0. All variables was statistically analyzed using two-way ANOVA with repeated measure. If interaction effect appears, it executed a group independent t-test and one way ANOVA.
In analysis of the results of this study,
First, it showed that there was a significant difference in HT(p<.001), CST(p<.05), TMW(p<.001), RTT(p<.001), OLE(p<.05) and an effect of interaction between group and a duration were appeared.
Second, it showed that there was a significant difference in social activity power(p<.05), family affinity(p<001), and body confidence(p<.001) and interaction effect between group and a duration were appeared.
Finally, it is thought that regular participation in exercise of the aged has an effect of the improvement of activity fitness(agility, cooperation, balance) and life satisfaction(social activity power, family affinity, and body confidence) comparing with the non-participation aged.
To cite an instance, a steady exercise of the aged is very helpful to promote health and satisfaction of living, and such an effect has a positive influence on healthy life of aged person by excluding inactive atmosphere and inspiring the old with vitality.
