The Japanese Heaven is converted to obsolete language almost. But, one side of thought formation and culture of the Japanese can be inferred with this phenomenon. Thereupon, I tried to search the appearance with Man'yōshū, Kojiki, Nihon Shoki and Fudoki of the ancient documents as the center.
First, Kojiki is formed with three Weltanschauung of Takamagahara, Ashihara no Nakatsukuni and Yominokuni. Takamagahara is the dwelling place of the Kami of heaven were born and their field of activity. The continuously, Ashihara no Nakatsukuni were made the present Japanese by the Izanagi and Izanami. But, Nihon Shoki has differ content with Kojiki. Recent research insist that `Takamagahara' is only the world of Kojiki. Therefore, Nihon Shoki's other world is Ashihara no Nakatsukuni and Ne noKuni. But, God of the mythical world of Kiki(記紀:Kojiki and Nihon Shoki) commonly have the heaven as field of activity. Namely, the heaven of kiki is a dwelling site of heavens God. This is the world of Han Chinese myth of China's ancient times. Namely, it is the same as the world of the Bango myth which lifted up heaven and earth.
Poetry collection Man'yōshū differs whit kiki which is the history book. I will show the example of the Heaven use. It is classified into three. In addition, heaven's expression became the poem by only some writer who is limited. Namely, it is the poet in the shrine garden of person Hitomaro, Akahito and Sakimaro etc. Then, there is Okura and Yakamochi which imitated the public expression of Hitomaro. It is the characteristic thing that the shrine garden praise poem which designates Hitomaro as foundation or concentrating on Choka which corresponds to this. Namely, It will be able to call Heaven expression which appears considerably with the poem that the shrine garden of Man'yō praise. In Kiki poems, shrine garden praise poem was succeed forms of expression or words to Man'yō. But, the poems of shrine garden praises show that it is not completed yet in Kiki poems.
Next is Fudoki's special feature of local geography. In Kiki, the Tenzin's activity place is heavens. But, many Tenzin of Fudoki falls unlike this. And, their work on the Ashihara no Nakatsukuni which is the world of mortals. Most of them came down in the mountain and the ocean and exchanged with human as a settle down feature in the human place. And, heaven and earth and day month and the heaven are only displayed just the meaning of not changing permanently. Then, there isn't any appear of veneration about heaven. Even Tokoyo no kuni where is a Utopia of Kiki, it was compared to Hitachi no kuni as concrete mane. This way, the people of Fudoki prayed or were told their fortune in the mountain and the ocean where God's descent place not about heaven. This is the same thing with Man'yōshū.
As examined ancient documents above. Japanese heaven was already fell in ancient, was stopped to being target of praying the people. Japanese wanted to search the God in more realistic and visual thing than the ideal God. This way, the cause of God or its thought was not being advanced seems the following way. First, the topographical quality that called island country was operated. Second, that was became realistic and visual by natural disaster occur frequently. Third, because the Emperor of Japan succeed to power of the Heaven. Then the after time, the investigation put under taboo with Emperor of Japan system. This quality of Japanese can be connected into the age from now on quality of this kind of Japanese. Namely, that is the Middle Ages's thinking of Shinbutsu shūgō and cult phenomenon like honji suijaku theory. Moreover, because this kind of recognition have taken one place as one thing of Japanese culture.
