● High prevalence of chronic pain and significant socio-economic costs increase the importance of providing chronic pain relief
● Chronic pain leads to physical, psychological, and socioeconomic problems. The prevalence of not only the elderly but also the young and old is increasing every year due to the aging society and the accelerated industrialization.
● A multidisciplinary approach is common in developed countries to solve the difficulties caused by chronic pain, but medical treatment is dominant in Korea, and patients' satisfaction with them is low
● A psychological approach is needed to solve the psychological and social difficulties caused by chronic pain, but there is little awareness of the patients in Korea and almost no specialists are involved.

Purpose of this study

3. Therapeutic Study (Verification of Group Therapy using Patient Workbook)
- The patient's workbook prepared for the program was first applied to actual group therapy to verify the effectiveness of the treatment, and the patient's feedback was received to correct the script.
- The group treatment group showed better overall function in the postmortem and follow-up tests than the normal treatment group
- The effects of group therapy were mediated by pain receptors and pain parasites.
