A Study on the Change of Perception on Art of Children, Teachers and Artists through the Establishment and Operation of School Art Museum in Connection with Local Artists
The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine the effects of the installation and operation activities of school museums linked to creative works of local artists on the perception of art by children, teachers, and local artists. As a research method to achieve this purpose, we selected qualitative research methods that can analyze the data in detail and study in depth and in depth the changes of perception and inner thoughts. And selected the case study method in terms of showing the experimental case of installing and operating the temporary art gallery within the school for a certain period. The data collected for the analysis are the in - depth interview texts, the video and photographs of the classes and videos, the researcher 's journal, the questionnaire of the child, and the pictures collected through the post - class activities. Participants were two local writers, two third graders, three sixth graders, a homeroom teacher in the third grade of the class selected for the class, and a homeroom teacher in the sixth grade. The results of the study on the effect of the installation and operation of school art museum on the perception of art by children, teachers, and local artists were as follows.
First, it was found that the children were able to realize that art activities were their own lives, and they were able to find the theme of art expressions in their own lives, thereby reducing the objection to the selection of themes. Secondly, this activity for the teachers became a chance to reflect more deeply on art education. Third, it was an opportunity to think about the meaning of 'local artist' and to worry about his identity. Fourth, through the activity of dealing with the humanities subject, the life of the artist is connected with the life of the child, so that the child understands that art is education for life and induces the child to accept it in his life. Fifth, the direction of school art education is suggested. It considers the meaning of art education, which means the positive attitude of the child to the real appreciation activity. Sixth, the visiting school museum is the net for the most dense art education aimed at the non-spectators.
