  • This study was carried out to change the mother's raising way by applying psychodynamic art therapy only to the mother, to recover a healthy mother-child relationship, and to make better the behavior of the child damaged by group bullying; this sis based on assuming that a shild damaged by group bullying should be primarily subject to the attitude of its mother to bring up her child.
    For this sutdy, a female child was reffed who was damaged by group bu;;ying at a kindergarten for 6 months. It was obseved at the first interview that her mother shs\ould have various characteristic and raising resultinf in applying the psy- chotherapy to ther first of all.
    This psychotherapy was performed with total 30 sessions of Feb 2001 to Jan 2002 at a room for individual therapy of a W Welfare Institute at Daegu, and each therapy was done for 50 min and on an average once per 2 weeks in the concentrated treatments with her mother. As pre-test and a post=test, the Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionaire was applied for observing the change of the mother's raising attitude, Social Experience Questionaire(SEQ) for observing a changed behaviour of the child, and K-H-T-P(Kinfetic-House Tree Person), and KFD(Kinetic Family Drawing) for a drawing test to all of them.
    A family drawing fo the child and a drawing of her mother were very helpful to understand their own problems in an objective view. In the first interview, the client has expressed a hositility toward her parents in a diagnossis of nuclear feeling, the main appealing problem and earler childhood memories of ehr own one. In the middle of psychotherapy, the child was introduced to obseve her own current problems and earlier memories and experiences of her own one in connection with the problems of her child. And, in the ending therapy, the client could experience that her own change by herself made her child cope with group bullying by itself.
    So, this case report indicated that parent, especially mother psychotherapy be preferentially priot to one for a child damaged by group bullying. Moreover, this result strongly suggests that the child's group bullying should be orientaed with the negative mother-child relationship and the hostile raising attitude of its mother.
