"A Study on Spillover and Competitiveness of Technology Trade against RTA"
On the topic of this project is summarized as follows.
1. "A Empirical Test on Trade Indicator between Technology Trade country"
The purpose of this paper is an estimate of relationship to Trade Indicator between Technology Trade country. And then we use the panel data 2001-2007 of trade indicator between Technology Trade country. The empirical method is Gravity Model and Hausman Test, Hausman-Taylor (1981) procedure adapted for unbalanced panel data. Also the estimation variable is used to examine GDP, per GDP, distance, export, import, outward investment, inward investment during the period 2001-2007 for Technical Trade country.
The empirical results show that import variable is very significant 1% against technical trade of Korea. Further per GDP is also significant as low as between Technology Trade country. The results suggest that variables Indicator will be use more various to grow up for technical trade of Korea
2. "A Study on Industry Characteristics of Technology Trade in Korea : evidence from OECD Countries"
The present study made an empirical analysis for investigating the competitiveness of technology trades in Korea. In particular, the study deduced the correlation between technology export and technology import using the variables of Gross Domestic Expenditure on R&D and Per capita industry value added Productivity and employed fixed effect model in panel linear regression model. It is found that the R&D expenditure of OECD countries made a significant effect on the technology import and the value-added labor productivity made a significant result on both technology export and import.
Therefore, it showed that the technology trade in Korea made a sensitive response to labor productivity in OECD countries. By panel analysis, machine, construction, ICT, and service industry affect most on technology export in Korea for recent 5 years. For technology import, electric-electron, chemical, service, and construction industry have significant effects. This study contributed to understanding of industrial characteristics affecting technology trades in Korea and empirical analysis to show correlation between the factors affecting technology trade.
3. "A Study on Technology Trade of the Korea and the Target for Concluding an FTA"
this study is technology trade of the Korea and the Target for Concluding an FTA technology status and strategic countermeasures are seeing analysis. Korea signed the FTA, that is, Cile, EFTA, Asean, and India, EU FTA effectuation analysis into five groups, each country only five years targeting technology trade and industry, technology type of technology, mainly to look at the trade balance. and then,The results suggest that these five groups of FTA nations and enable technology trade barriers and technical trade measures
4. "A Study on Technology Trade of Korea · China for Korea․China FTA"
The purpose of this study is to examine Technology Trade of Korea · China for Korea · China FTA. For this purpose, to analysis the present condition of technology trade and Trade Specialization Index(TSI), Technical Barriers to Trade(TBT).
The Technology trade of Korea·China is the surplus Technology trade of Korea but reducing to surplus scale. Also as a result of TSI analysis, Chemistry, plastic, primary metal, Medical precision industry, basic materials industries have weakened the Korea. In addition to Technical Barriers to Trade of China is very complexity for example, China Compulsory Certificate(CCC), China RoHS , China REACH.
Therefore the Policy Technology Trade of Kore against China have to the centerpiece of Korea Technology export drive to expand in China.
5. "An Empirical Test on Competitiveness of Technology Trade between ASEAN"
The purpose of this paper is an estimate of relationship to Trade Indicator between ASEAN country. And then we use the panel data 2003-2011 of trade indicator between ASEAN country. The empirical method is Fixed Effect Model procedure adapted for balanced panel data. Also the estimation variable is used to examine GDP, per GDP, R&D Expenditure, export, import, outward investment, inward investment during the period 2003-2011 for ASEAN country.
The empirical results show that import variable is very significant 5% against technical trade of Korea. Further per GDP is also significant as low as between ASEAN country. The results suggest that variables Indicator will be use more various to grow up for technical trade of Korea.
