In this study, the uniform curriculum provided by the current education system makes it difficult to follow classes, unexposed and hidden students in the blind spot of education are defined as Hidden Handicap learners. To provide a "Level the playing fields" for Hidden Handicap learners to achieve academic and social success, a multi-layered and comprehensive education and counseling support model, including student level, parent/teacher level, and school (Organization) level was devised.
This study aims to provide an educational and counseling model that allows not only students as individuals but also surrounding parents, teachers, and institutions to collaborate comprehensively. Which also, multi-dimensionally provides a foundation for all Hidden Handicap learners to not only successfully adapt to school but grow and become talented in Korean society.
In this study, we intend to study comprehensive and long-term educational reform measures to support Hidden Handicap learners. The educational reform plan for Hidden Handicap learners is a 10-year long-term plan course, and to build a support center for Hidden Handicap learners, we will look at various and professional measures at the student, parent, teacher, and institutional level.
In the first year, we conduct subtype exploration and characteristic studies on Hidden Handicap learners. To this end, we conduct meta-studies for establishing hidden learner concepts and characteristic-related theoretical systems, conceptual diagram analysis for establishing hidden learner concepts and characteristic-related theoretical systems, and hidden learner subtype analysis studies.
In the second year, we conducted a hidden learner diagnostic literature study, a hidden learner diagnostic model development, and a hidden learner customized personal learning achievement test pilot development under the theme of the hidden learner diagnostic system model development study.
In the third year, under the theme of developing a multi-level education and counseling support model, a hidden learner diagnosis model was developed, a parent education support plan and teacher training program were developed, and a school operator training content and guidelines were developed.
As a result, it provided academic and social contributions through the development of hidden learner theory systems and screening scales for three years in the small phase and formed an academic network to shed light on Hidden Handicap learners who are not adequately supported by current policy and legal standards.
