In order to efficiently carry out the major theme of the joint research, <Studying a new paradigm of civilization and peace>, intermediate goals for each year were set, and these were further subdivided and dealt with in monthly seminars.
The goal of the first year was to review and compare various paradigms of civilization and peace. At this time, open and closed civilizations, individual peace and universal peace were the main issues. Monthly seminars include <Convergence of Civilizations>, <Triple Structure of Civilizations and Normative Characteristics of 'Convergence of Civilizations'>, <Rational View of Civilization>, <Is the Informational Transformation of Cultures Convergence or Evolution of Civilizations>? dealt with these issues.
The original goal of the second year was to compare and classify Eastern and Western civilizations and peace ideas by field, based on the research results of the first year. In the second year, due to the influence of Corona 19, the seminar was conducted as a non-face-to-face video using ZOOM. Nevertheless, We safely finished the seminar over the 9nd round as well as the face-to-face seminar. The important topics of the seminar covered in the second year are as follows. <New Normal Civilization in the Post-COVID-19 Era>, <The Bias and Fairness of AI Technology>, <Peace and Unification>, <Why Making Korean People>, <People, Citizen, Nation: the Birth of Modernity and the Structure of the Public Sphere>, <Religious Traditions and Cultural Grammar of Korea>.
In the third year, 10 seminars and several small meetings were held to present a new paradigm for the convergence of modern civilizations and a peaceful nation. <Reflections on Modern Science and Technology Civilization>, <Seeking Universal Ethics in the Age of Globalization>, <Artificial Intelligence and Great Social Revolution>, <Artificial Intelligence and Post-Human>, <The Logic of Transition, Transformation of Theory>, <Sociological Foundation of Conflict Theory> were the central themes of the seminar.
Through a total of 25 large and small seminars, it can be said that <Studying a New Paradigm of Civilization and Peace>, which was initially set up as a joint research, has yielded satisfactory results. Several papers individually presented by co-researchers and several books published based on seminar presentations in the meantime prove this. From the content point of view, the new paradigm of civilization and peace resulted in <open civilization> and <universal peace>.
